Principal's Message

APJ Abdul Kalam has rightly said that “A dream is not that which you see while sleeping, it is something that does not let you sleep”. Air Force School Kanpur Cantt aims to provide an education which explores and strengthens the potential which is innate in every individual but awaiting expressions. Air force school creates an atmosphere of reverence for education and motivates students to be the brightest and just. In order to do so, we seek to provide an environment which enriches the intellectual, spiritual, emotional and physical development of the pupil in the atmosphere that is happy and nurturing.

Positive work ethics and the pursuit of Excellence has always been our strength. Parivartan, or change is the keyword of the 21st century. From marks to grade, from real to virtual classrooms, from blackboard to smartboards – Education has acquired a completely new definition and dimensions. You need to do things differently. You need to change. But change is hard. We resist it. We fear it. So, we avoid it. But if you want to progress, if you are genuinely committed to your goal, you need to adopt a different way of thinking. You need to open your mind to the new, take risks, try different things, be willing to fail, learn from these experiences and improve.

Education empowers students to discover themselves who they are as people. It is said “If you are planning for a year, sow rice; if you are planning for a decade, plant trees; if you are planning for a lifetime, educate people”. Indeed, one can even say that the quality of education will determine the destiny of the nation. Education can prove very useful in bringing about national integration, which is the basis for unity among people, social change and ultimately the basis for strong and united country.

We believe that family is the first and most influential teacher and rely heavily on our partnership with Parents to educate their child. Every parent should spend at least one hour with their child. Parents can bring excellence in the education of their ward by monitoring their self study and revision at home and encouraging their participation in all co-scholistic areas on the wide platform provided by the school.

Air Force School nurtures education as an intricately planned endeavour in its vast environment. It aims to discover and motivate the students inherent qualities and to develop homogeneous personalities through holistic approach. It also aims that the school children should develop four powers: “POWER TO DO”, “POWER TO KNOW”, “POWER TO FEEL” AND “POWER TO THINK”.
